Aside from this typically male oversight, Mr. Hays does very well. His documentation of the anti- female attitude is, if anything, excessive; it cer- tainly proves this problem is world-wide and as old as history. He traces the connection of anti-feminism, homosexuality and sado-masochism in masterly fashion. He ends with a plea for mutual understanding; and may I echo that in the hope that hatred of the TV will vanish in the process!
